Fall Volunteer Information & Recruiting Event
If you have ever wondered what it takes to help keep the V&E Greenline running smoothly and looking great - this is the event for you.
Learn how you can help on the trail or behind the scenes with the managing committee. There are a number of ways to help, including:
Committee Members: Manage the overall operations and future of the trail. There are opportunities to help with communications, fundraising, arboretum, volunteers, finance, and more.
Tree and Trail Maintenance Teams: These are the folks that help out along the trail with tasks such as mowing, trimming, cleaning, and clearing. Volunteers are needed for all areas of the trail, experience is not required (we will train), and we provide all of the equipment, tools, and supplies needed.
Second Saturday and Tuesday Night Volunteers: We have regularly scheduled activities throughout the month to work on specific projects. These are 2 hour activities.
Garden Volunteers: We have two main garden areas (the Idlewild Garden and the Woodland/Memorial Garden) where regular volunteers are needed.
Come to the Volunteer event and learn about these opportunities and more. There will be free hot dogs, veggie dogs, popcorn, iced tea, and cookies (all while they last). The event is free (donations are always appreciated though).
