the event
Artwalk features local artists and craftspeople selling their items along the trail at Kirby Station on the corner of Tutwiler and Avalon. The event is free and open to the public. Along with artist booths there is music and entertainment, food, beer, wine, children’s activities, artist demonstrations and more throughout the day.
The V&E Greenline Artwalk is the primary fundraising event for the needs of the trail each year. As a 100% community owned, managed, maintained, and operated urban greenspace covering 1.7 miles in length we have to raise money every year. Funds go to pay for gas and maintenance of our equipment, tree trimming, trail repairs, and more. They also cover the “behind the scenes” expenses it takes to keep the trail open to the public; things like insurance, taxes, and utilities.

For artists
Artwalk encourages a variety of disciplines, media, and prices among its artists and craftspeople. Space is limited, there is a low fee for booth space, and we do not charge a percentage or fee beyond that to participate.
We have a strong, loyal following for the event within the community and Memphis in general. We support attendance with advertising and signs leading up to the event. One day attendance can exceed 1,000 adults.
A juried “Best of Show” winner is selected each year along with two Honorable Mentions with cash prizes.

for Volunteers
Our volunteers help with event logistics, set-up, and clean-up each year. We need over 50 volunteers each year to keep Artwalk going, if you are interested in learning more about volunteering at Artwalk please check our Volunteer Odyssey page for volunteer descriptions.

Our sponsors are the backbone of the event each year allowing us to continue to put on the event without charging admission, offer programming such as local music and our children’s area, beer and wine selections, and more.
