Flooding near the Greenline (May 1).
The youngest Greenline Volunteer helping to mow.
With the beginning of Spring, our volunteers are out
mowing, trimming, performing trail maintenance, etc. Please be
mindful of our workers by not using the trail if marked by caution
tape and avoid walking too close to individuals working on the
trail, especially with power equipment. Remember it is easier
for you to see them, then for our volunteers to see you.

Commercial Appeal September 7, 2008
On August 25, 2008, areas of Memphis received
three inches of rain. This led to high water (and some urban
and basement flooding) in neighborhoods near Lick Creek, including
sections of the Greenline. This
picture shows the rushing water under the Lick Creek Bridge. It is
approximately 15 feet above normal. Thanks to the Coonin
family for the picture.
